Hey guys, i have a Saffire pro 40 and it can clock up to 92Khz on the interface itself and thats the highest. Now, would it be possible to clock it to anything higher by syncing it to a device like an Apogeebig ben?
I bought a refurbished Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 (with full manufacturer's warranty), and I'm running into a problem (maybe with my brain). Here goes:
When I insert an XLR cable into any of the 8 inputs, the signal is fine...and angels fly. However, when I insert an unbalanced 1/4" cable (either a mic cable or from a preamp), the signal is so low it's unusable.
I have also noticed the instructions for this SUCK!
Can you use the device without the MixControl?
It says to have the computer off when connecting or disconnecting. Can I simply eject the Saffire Pro from "Safely Remove..." or eject my IEEE1394 ExpressCard?
When I load MixControl it always says:
Hi,
Which one would you choose and why? I would be using it to record drums and maybe a small band.
Whenever my recordings get to about 1 minute 40 seconds they suddenly stop. Would this be a latency issue or what exactly? Also I have a good computer so that shouldn't be the problem.
If I had a saffire pro 40 and an [url=http://www.m-audio… Profire Lightbridge[/url], would I be able to use the Saffire Pro 40 8 inputs to track in Pro Tools?
Pros and cons for either?
Im thinking of purchasing the Focusrite saffire pro 40.
Does anyone have anything to say about it's
operation/preamps/compatiblity.
Was there any problems that you may have experienced.
Thanks,
