Hi,
I am trying to track guitars into Sonar 7 producer using guitar rig 4 as a vst plugin . When setting Sonar so that i can hear the "distorted amp sim" in real time while tracking it creates crazy latency. I tried taking my latency down to 10 seconds and its better, but still has a lag feel when tracking fast solo style parts.

I've been using Cubase SX for a while now. And for some reason it's been really dragging recently, stuttering and struggling.
Do CPU's get old and tired?
Hey yall. Should I get Sonar 7 or 8? Sonar 8 looks pretty new, is 7 more stable? Thanks.
Hi there,
I have a prblem with analog recording two guitars simultaneously on the left and right channel in Cakewalk.
First i plugged in two guitars directly into the left and right channel of my ESI juli@. Both channels show in the ESI monitor and also on the ESI output monitor output. From this i know my hardware is functioning this far.
I bought the program and when I tried to install it is said Invalid serial number. This is new out of the box using the s/n it came with. I have emailed cakewalk and still no answer 2 days later. Is it possible I'm entering it wrong?

In Sonar 7 Home Studio, how do you use the Studio Drum Kit? I'm trying to figure out how to playback my song and record a drum part using the soft synth studio Drum Kit, but I have no idea how. I'm a noob at this, so please help me.

I am looking for a definite routing scheme to use in a mastering situation.
I have one stereo track with the song loaded onto the track.
This track is output to the Master.
hi everyone,
i am very new to recording and was given the task of mapping out the click tracks for all of my bands songs so that we can save studio time. the problem is that our songs are not 1 BPM throughout the whole song.
so what i need to set up is a click that changes BPM's for example having he verses be 140 and the chorus' be 170.
Hello, I am new to the forum.
I am looking to switch from PT LE to Sonar or Cubase and RME's FF400, not sure yet.
Any suggestions? Which is more stable Sonar or Cubase?
peter.
