speaker placement

I've recently moved into a new place, and I've got a loft room as space for my home studio. It's far from ideal, but it's the only plausible space I've got.

Here are the dimensions of the room I need to set up as a studio (pic link attached below). 10' 8" x 11' 10" (8ft ceiling)

I have 2 KRK Powered Rockit 6's

Can someone please tell me the technically proper dimensions I should place the speakers in the room, for the best flat response for the engineers seating position.

I'm loomking for some advice on speaker placement within a club that someone I know is re-building.

Below is a rough plan of the club:

I'm really crammed for space, the only way I can get my JBLs spaced evenly on either side of the table is to have them facing each other.

Is that Sacrelige? Will it compromise the quality of my sound?

The only other option I have is to put one a few feet away near the other side of the wall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will be receiving a pair of Genelec 1030’s next week and have got a couple of questions about placement.

How close is too close as far as them being next to a computer display? The spec sheet says that they are electromagnetically shielded... Hmm...
