What size stereo bar?
I keep looking at the grace and aea stereo bars. and trying to figure out if it is worth getting the 10" or the 24" stereo bars. (or in the case of AEA, 17" and 1 meter)
Any opinions?

Hi there,
Hi Cucco,
I just purchased the Sabra ST2 stereo bar. I read in an old post that you use this bar, but found a longer bar than that which comes standard with the Sabra.

Can you tell me where you found the longer bar?
I'm looking at this as an alternative to the significantly pricier AEA 17". The build quality on the AEA's is great and the flexibility is nice, but I only really need coincident options for my application (so far...)
Is this Shure bar a sturdy, reliable contender? Basically I don't want to be buying another one in 2 years (like I am now with this generic junk!). Thanks.
If you're using two figure-8 mics as a Blumlein array, and they're lightweight enough to mount together on a vertical stereo bar. does the bar itself cause any interference? Is it better to just use two booms for mic placement and leave the rear field open?
Y'know Ive seen in stereo at a bar after a few too many in my younger days, but don't know where to buy a reasonable priced stereo bar for precise and repeatable mic placement . There seems to be no middle ground - either way expensive (DPA) or way cheap (atlas), any ideas?
Thanks
Tony
