Does anybody here use this?

I'm sort of intrigued by it. I know it's supposed to have a very transparent sound, so I'm wondering how a pair would work as mains, piano or general duties.

I haven't seen it used very often for musical applications, although I've often seen it used for voice-over work -often coupled with a U87.

I purchased a tlm193 and am happy with it.
Question:

it works for everything but i'm wondering:
for drumoverheads, would it be good to get a second one?

As it doesn't have -10Db and low cut.
alternatives?

Hi Sebatron ,

TLM 103 is a bright mic, from 3K up, there are about +4db increase. Do you think Sebatron is good for TLM 103 mic for voice? What does the "Bright" switch mean? add some +db in high frequency? If that is the case, It might be too bright for the mic.

I was just browsing through some posts elsewhere on the net and I was surprised by how many people hate this mic. I know the TLM-103 has its critics, but I suppose it's a matter of taste, and of course it has earned a lot of admirers too. I'm just wondering how many people here have opinions on the 127.

Hey fellas. I have a TLM 103 and I'm trying to find a really good Pre for it. I will be tracking Vocals and Acoustic Guitar. What would you match up with it and why? Dont think about $$$$. What pre do you think would make the mic sound the best. The TLM 103 capsule is designed off the Neumann U87. :D

Just got myself a TLM 103 2nd hand.
Now I'll be stuffed if I'm paying the $460 they want here in Oz for a genuine mount.
So does anyone know who makes generic shock mounts?

As the title says, I am looking to get a new mic (well second-hand) and I am looking at both the Neumann TLM 103 and the TLM193.
