trs

Description
The letters TRS stand for Tip, Ring, and Sleeve, and refer to the parts of the jack plug that the different conductors are connected to. A TRS cable has three conductors vs the two on a standard guitar cable. A guitar cable is a TS, or Tip Sleeve cable.

Which do you think is better for audio card INPUTS (not outputs):

1/4" TRS and TS
or
SPDIF (coax digital)

1. The balanced input jack on the audio card is rated at being 104 to around 107 dBA SNR.

2. We all know the SPDIF input is basically digital 1's and 0's.

I'm doing a little experiment with live-streaming video from a moving car. I'm looking at using this microphone up in the sun visor, and connecting it to this mixer/audio interface [URL=link removed XENYX 302USB which will then be connected to my laptop via usb and narrowcasted to the internet over mobile broadband.

Hi i found a good deal on a pair of XLR female - TRS cables. I need the for my vocal and acoustic condenser mics . Some people say it doesn't matter if it is XLR or TRS they are both the same but i have read TRS jacks don't support phantom power. So should i stay away from XLR - TRS cables for my condenser mics?

Hi, so I've got a Line6 Pod Studio UX2 (audio interface), and I'm getting a pair of Yamaha HS50M Studio Monitors. Can somebody look the two up and try to figure out what cables I need to hook the two up? Is it two TRS cables? Balanced? Unbalanced?

Thanks in advance!
-Josh

P.S.
What do you think about the HS50M Monitors?

I was wondering what I can expect sound wise between the 2, the TRS is in better shape, the MS-16 comes with the remote and meters W/ no dbx stuff. They are both going to cost about 500 when said and done. I just plan on using 8 tracks anyways but I would not might the ability to track a full band to tape

Hello all,

I just wanted to ask if TRS cables are the exactly the same as "Speaker Cables?" Speaker cables that you would normally use to hook your studio monitors to your audio interface.

Also, are these the same cables that should be used between a guitar amp head and the cabinet?

Thanks for the advice!
