I would like to use it as a pre to improve the quality of my recording (I am using a Tascam DR-40) but i don't know if it is really worth :)
Like the title says, I'm a beginner when it comes to audio recording. I'm looking to start recording some footage with audio using a T3i DSLR camera. I purchased the Tascam DR-40 and an Audio-Technica AT897 Line + Gradient Compact Shotgun Condenser Microphone. Today I received my products and decided to test out the Mic and Tascam recorder.
I need a small stereo recorder to record mostly sound effects, i will sue external microphone (mkh 40, mkh 30)
is anyone of you experienced on Tascam dr 40 and Tascam dr 100?
