probably a stupid question but thought i would ask before i ruined something, but do i remove the cards from a Tascam tsr 8 by simply unscrewing the bottom plate and pulling them out? (with reasonable force?)
it's not in the users manual.

Any ideas? I just bought this second hand and I was told the only problem was a perished pinch roller. I replaced the pinch roller and fired it up for the first time yesterday and it won't play. It forwards and rewinds and stops without problem. The display is perfect and if I manually roll the tape across the heads the meters register the material but it won't play.
I have a Tascam TSR-8. It had been working fine until the other day when it just wouldn't play back. it kinda got stuck. Then today I started getting this weird horrible white noise/scratch/static sound when playing back what I recorded as well as some odd speed dips here and there.
I'll be attempting to syc these two machines together for a project. Tascam support has assured me that it will work. Anyone have any experience trying this?
Like the subject says. Do you like it, or should I look for something better? How much would you pay for one in "good" condition?
