Trying to move recording to the comp. At least vocals. Anyone know the proper setup for this combination. Transport buttons work. Sliders seem to work no I really don't think its hocked up properly. I am familiar with midi pedal controllers. Do you have to set up each control like that or is there a academic setup that will get me familiar.

I need some help about recording with my Tascam US-428. I'm not being able to record anything. I plugin a mic to input A or an instrument to input C then I assign the input to the multitrack software (Cubase SX 3 or Adobe Audition 2.0) track then arm it to record but I get no signal. Nothing is recorded!

Hello. I am running Windows XP (no service packs) with 384 mb of ram. I have a Tascam US-428 ( http://Tascam.com/Products/US-428.html ) and am running Cubase SX 2.0.
I do not get an input signal.
I'm pretty new to home recording. I bought a Tascam US-428 and it works really well. There is one problem, though. When I hook up my Fender amp to the US-428 using the pre-amp output from the fender, I get a lot of static. It doen't happen using my old porta studio. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last week I installed WinXPpro on my notebook and now the us-428 is unstable:
sound stops every once in a while for half a second and continues.
Some specs:
My notebook: ASUS L3C (http://) with PIV-2GHz 512Mb
I'm thinking about purchasing one of these. What are your opinions about them and how well and easy do they work.

I have being using the Tascam Us-428 and Cubase for about 3 years and I am very happy with my tyni setup.I just love my blue box,and after a while i get pretty well with Cubase too ( I specially love Cubase midi part and Halion).
Thought I would try you to get some advice. My system is very, very unstable w/DP3. I cannot open DP3 without it crashing and freezing my Mac. I have been rebooting it endlessly. Do I need to trash some prefs? Do I need to move something around? 1024 of Ram. Where should I look for the problem. I have been on the ph w/MOTU 5 straight days since I bought it last weekend.
