I'm new to the whole recording game, and I'm trying to get started. Here's what a buddy of mine uses, with pretty good results, and what I'm trying to approximate:
-Podfarm
-PreSonus Firepod (not sure what model)
-SM-57
-Cubase
-EZDrummer/Drumkit from Hell
Hi everyone, so I know this topic has been discussed before, I searched the forum, but didn't exactly find out what I need.
So I have been using win xp for a while with a midi controller and Proteus VX to do some live work.
I have another laptop with Windows Vista, and can't get drivers for XP for what I need.
does PRO TOOLS LE work on windows vista home premium 32 bit?
I'm going to buy the Digidesign 002 interface with pro tools le software but I'm unsure whether my vista home premium 32 bit will support it, as Digidesign won't seem to commint to supporting it

Opinions on Nuendo working on Vista home premium SP1.I mean any issues,loading VSTi's etc.Or is it recommended to stick with Win XP.?
Anyone have a Maudio Pro usb interface and using Vista?
I cant get vista to accept it as my default sound device.

ISSUES
- you have random 'audible artifacts' while operating your DAW
- artifacts include stuttering, static, popping, or white noise
- intermittent noise from your gear seems unprofessional
- interferes with your concentration

This is probably a whopper of an issue but I'm hoping that its a simple driver issue. Here it goes;
I just recently got the rest of my rig together, and am having troubles getting my hardware to be recognized.
Here's the set up:
PreSonus Firepod > 6p-4p firewire cable > laptop (running 64bit vista).
I also have an external hard drive, so sub that in for the Firepod when called for.
Perhaps this issue has been dicussed.
I own Nuendo 2, have never installed/used it, but am now thinking of doing so. I would want to install it on a new PC running Vista64 (to have more RAM). I'm also thinking that I would need to upgrade to the latest Nuendo in order to be compatible with Vista64.
I'm open to suggestion(s) and or correction.
