Which DAW to choose? I'm confused.

Ok, so I'm a newbie here who is very very wet behind the ears and could use some guidance. I currently own a small A/V design firm and do very well. I typically design commercial 70v audio systems and do a lot of video designs for everything from basic tv setups for bars and restaurants to high end tele-conferencing systems for corporations.

What DAW Software? Hmm...

I am new this whole thing and I am in the process of setting up my home recording studio right now. The only thing I need now is a good DAW software... I have looked into two so far: MixCraft 4.2 and REAPER... In my opinion, REAPER sounds like more "bang for the buck" but I am just wondering; what would anybody recommend? Weather it be MixCraft, REAPER, or another.

Thanks!

What DAW are you using

For all you DAW users out there, the question is, "Which recording software program do you use and why do you use it? Do you like it? What software would you use if you could have anything you want? Please restrict this to existing programs on the market. What program do you think would be the best "Universal Program" if it were the only one available?
