Recording a Keyboard?

Hello all, I would like to learn what cables I need to run a Casio CTK-593 through my computer to record it. On the back it has MIDI in/outputs, and a Big Jack(?), I would like it to go from Big Jack to a Headphone jack. I have hooked my guitar to my computer like this but I am missing cords. Thanks to anyone who will help me.

Hi everyone, well im looking to buy a mixer in a day or two. My range is upto $200. There are two options to me
1- yamaha mw10c
2- behringer 1204 fx mixer

Im in doubt that the yamaha one has any fx effects like reverb or echo, etc. So guys which one would you suggest me to buy from the above two or if there is other model or brand with in the same range, tell me about that as well. Just remember any other model/brand should have fx effects.

Im waiting for your replies.

what's up everybody? i'm new to the forum but been on it for a while. anyway i've been driving myself crazy on looking for a new mic and preamp mainly for vocals. i heard good things about the summit audio 2ba-221 and like the price. i also was looking at the universal audio la-610. which is double the price and a channel strip. which may be important. also i was looking at Neumannn tlm-103, akgc414, rhode k2, and have heard great things about the mojave audio ma-200. i have digi 003 and a macbook pro.

BIG session coming up, need advice

Hi RO,
I have a live session coming up on Monday. It's the most musicians I've ever had around me when I was recording. We are looking at eight, drummer, conga player, guitar, bass, keys, tenor sax, alto sax (guitarist), and trombone. And a really good singer.

What I had in mind was doing the Guitar, Keys, Bass, and Set live, and tracking the rest. We want a sort of James Brown feel.

Any thoughts?
I'm surrounded by a lot of talent, I want to do the best job I can.

Mac upgrades?

Hey everyone
I am also quite a newb to recording, got some basic equipment and im not sure whether or not upgrades are required/possible. I have last year's Mac book, apogee interface/logic pro. The thing is the Apogee/Duet interface only allows to inputs at one time, and Im looking to start recording some higher quality drums/multiple instruments at once.
Along with that, even with just 2 imputs my Mac gives me the " system overload" message quite frequently. i tried out an interface with 8 channels and it struggled recognizing even one channel at times.

Mac recommended specifications

Looking to buy a second hand Powermac G5 because my current system (a pc) is dying of age. I don't need to have the fastest of the fastest, and I don't have the budget for it, so I'm not really into the latest line of Mac Pro's. However, I want a solid system on which I can run PT 7.x with a Digi002 interface for a couple of years to come. I do mostly (rock)music productions so the use of many tracks and plugins is required. What would you recommend? Right now I'm looking at a dual 2.5 or 2.7 Ghz with 4 Gb memory. Will that be sufficient?

Got it. I do have to say they packed it very well. The first two faders are very loose. All the rest are fine. Im going to let it warm up and then Im going to tear it apart and clean it and see whats going on with the first two faders. Hopefully an easy fix. The salesman/manager said the unit powered up and all the faders reset, so I hope they are just loose. But they seem to me to be off track all together. The unit itself is in very good shape and its quite larger than I thaught it would be. So hopefully with a screwdriver and some electronics cleaner I will be good to go.
