Hi!
I have heard and maybe seen:
TR505, TR626, TR707, TR808, TR909, TR301 or TR101 ( Bass line I guess)...

What else did exist? are these numbers correct?
I remember I liked TR626 and hated the sounds of TR505.

:)

Howdy

From the 909 to, I dunno...the R8 or so, they all were in that off-white box. The 808 was in a big black box.

Synth bass? I don't think you can go wrong with a Minimoog. If you can't swing one, a microMoog can sound downright ferocious.

Hey Alecio, don't you have a TDM rig? You could get the Access Virus as a TDM plugin...that would do a pretty darn good job.

A lot of the VA synths try to emulate the TB303 sound, (check the presets, there's bound to be a TB somethingorother... :) ) it's pretty easy to do on pretty much any synth, use only one (prefered...) or two but no more oscillators and mod the cutoff a lot! I've had some sucess with the novation bass-station, (which is pretty cheap used these days...) but it really doesn't shine as a meaty type bass synth. I'm very happy with the waldorf pulse though, it's an absolute beast! :tu:

:) Hey all, I have used a lot of various Roland products through the years. I remember a box that did all the rhythm for you, you just programed in the progressions.

I liked the drum machines. I liked the Dx's, the synth boards with the programmable note for note sequencer, with it's speed control etc. There were others, getting old can't remember them all.
I still to this day use a Roland S-50 sampler, sequencer workstation. I had to hang on to this one, after all it was 2800.00 new, in 85. It serves as the main keyboard controller, and four output tracks of whatever from the internal 48 channel sequencer, it has an RGB video output too, so I can draw waves, edit, create sequences, and store them to floppy. A very rugged piece of gear.

This was the ticket for gigs, storing up to 32 song only, sequences to a disc.

What next? When I walk into GC, I am turned off, makes me feel like I am in Sears. They will sell you anything, if they even know what you are looking for. Sad. Mom and pop music stores gone with the wind.

Also, have you used Match V?

Thanks

No, the Micromoog was a bit smaller than a Mini

It only had one oscillator and a cool ribbon bender thingy.

Haven't played with Mach 5, I'm still trying to find time to get into my NI stuff.
