I have a project where the titles of the tracks need to show up on a CD player. How can this be done. Which program? I have waveburner, can this do it? Please help.

any likes or dislikes, features, bugs, green & grey?

been using it for a few years, both old and new versions

I think its worth the price of buying logic just to get WB.

the new update 1.1.2 has been very stable for us.

be sure and install the ProApp update 3.1 as well

good editing, fades, xfades, pq editing, cd text, isrc, upc

good powr dither, level adjustments, humorous Goniometer, etc

bounce project, region, or track all working well.

I'm liking the 8x burn with TY (Maxell Pro) media on a Plextor 716.

howevr the SRC is not the best... prefer PT tweekhead or barbabatch.

we bought two dongles to run WB simultaneously in both studios.

sometimes it hangs before it playback.. restart fixes it... NBDeal.

haven't tried using many plug-ins... yet

I turn off the buffer under run protection, if there's a buffer problem, I want it to abort, not resync, and risk a big error.

a few odd little quirks here and there, nothing fatal.

oh yeah, good sonic quality.

If it ever crashes, I always send the report to apple to help expedite an new update.

in Studio A we're running a G5 dual 2.0, OSX 10.4.3

in Studio B we're running a G4 dual 867, OSX 10.3.9

Just random notes about Waveburner... any thoughts my brother?

This isn't exactly what you want but, if you want the track names show up when you put the CD in a computer, I know iTunes can do this:

Put into the computer the final CD (exactly as it will go for pressing) and type in all the information (artist, track name, track numbers, genre, album title etc...) Then in the Advanced menu, select "Submit CD Track Names." This will submit the track names to CDDB, the online database that stores this info so anyone with a computer and Internet access will see track names when they put in a CD. It takes a few days for the info to post on CDDB.

I thought 1.1 was more stable, 1.1.2 crashes a bit more to me. I should have stuck with what was working. I upgraded everything.

things I like: I think it sounds better. Fades work better. all windows and open and work good.

things I don't like: moves much slower. plugin support sucks. freezes more often. Won't burn open sessions. doesn't allow number entries like the OS9. did I say slow?

Some applications do not support it. For example, with WMP I can not see song name/artist on all albums, probably due to albums not cataloged to these databases on the web

CD text is not related to the ISRC codes, it's a seperate field. When you see the titles appear in iTunes, WMP that is coming from the CDDB.

There are increasing requests for CD text, mainly for car players.
