I've used both software & hardware versions. Personally I like the one that's incorperated within my TC Helicon VoicePrism. I've also tried the stand-alone plugin version (Orange Vocoder by spectrasonic for Steinberg). Opinionsto what you may feel is a good vocoder reguardless of platform would be appreciated. And are there many folks still using or are planing to use this effect in the near future? :w:

Well, in my new release, in only ONE song, I used autotune TDM in 3 or 4 sentences to emulate a poor man´vocoder, similar to the one you listen in DIE ANOTHER DAY.
Are you a TDM user also?
Unfortunetly I'm currently a native user.

Creamware made the Vocodizer for the Scope Fusion Platform and for Noah hardware. I'ts one of the best I've seen. Great are also the vocoder modules for the Modular3 on SFP and a third party device for the same platform called Vorb, by Orbitone, a special Vocoder with formant tools that make it incredibly musical.
I know it's not TDM or native...but as you asked, these I like mostly, regardless of the platform.
