I can't vouch for any particular power amp, and I'm sure others will respond with suggestions. But if you haven't bought your monitors yet, seriously consider getting active ones so you don't have to concern yourself with power amps. Active monitors ensure that the matching of the power amp to the crossovers is optimised. Just a suggestion.

Cheap & decent - Hafler TA series

Reasonable and better - Hafler TransNOVA series

A little more expensive but wonderful - Bryston (used is wonderful also, as they have a 20 year auto-transfer warranty - 20 years from date of mfg.)

Tjeck out Sugden amps!!

Brystons are fantastic, check out Quads too.
If you're on a real shoestring budget, try Samson.

I second the nomination for the Hafler Trans Novas ... a used P3000 runs about $250 ... for 150 watts a side..
