I second the nomination for the Hafler Trans Novas ... a used P3000 runs about $250 ... for 150 watts a side..
David Hafler (the designer) has a vast background in amp technology starting in the 60's with Dynaco and proceeding through Phase Linear and Great American Sounds "Ampzilla" ...

I can't vouch for any particular power amp, and I'm sure others will respond with suggestions. But if you haven't bought your monitors yet, seriously consider getting active ones so you don't have to concern yourself with power amps. Active monitors ensure that the matching of the power amp to the crossovers is optimised. Just a suggestion.
