couple of obvious things: is your master tascam set to external clock, and the o2r to internal, are all set to same samplerate, are the tascam connected using sync cables, and are the slaves set to chase?are your tapes formatted at different samplerates than used in your project?is your worlclock out terminated(i guess a da88 autoterminates right?)

if so...hmmmm...interesting problem..

I have the same setup, and used to have the same problems all the time.

Solution was to buy a Lucid GenX master clock and set mixer and DA's to slave to external wordclock. Problems gone.

da series clocks are pretty fine normally, maybe you can try using the tascam as wordclock master before buying an external syncgenerator...

yes, it has word sync in/out bnc connectors on the sys card.

Results with 02r

Hello all thanks very much for you help. I have managed to borrow a spare DA38 to replace the faulty DA88, and this has cured the DIO errors I kept getting.

What I would like to know now is how the direct outs work. You see I didnt set the system up and now that I have been swapping cards around, the record prosess needs a little qweeking.

SETUP

I have a 02r with three TDIF cards and 1 DA88 as the master with Word Clock out into the desk and two DA38`s as slave 1 & 2.

I seem to be missing the correct setups in the digital I/O menu and I dont seem to be getting the first 16 outs to the first 2 DA machines.

Would you be kind enough to guide me through this on the 02r. Many thanks.
