Lockin as in synching those two together? well the multiplatform thing is one issue, but you're also running two different types of pro tools software(mpowered and LE).Are you trying to get more than 16 tracks simultaneously or simply want to go back and from from platforms due to different plug ins you have? what are your mic/Line pusposes?
I know you can daisy chain 002s(firewire) but im not sure about chaining an 1814 to a 002. Just get yourself an optical 8 channel mic pre system and that will give you 16 ins to your 002( beats getting another 002!). I hope this helps
