Im using up to 4 VS880s when mastering. When everything is said and done, ie; comp/limit/process/eq and so on,Im outputting from the 880s as an analog signal to line in mixer, out as analog to CD burner----okay,,,,heres my question.
Will I get better sound resolution if I run the analog signal to a high grade A/D converter, then to burner as a digital signal?and not being so dependent on the burners a/d converter?

Better resolution?? Hard to say.

Better sound - most definitely.

I would also consider it an investment into the future too. I know you're kinda happy with the 880s now, but I think (personally) you'll run into a brick wall with them eventually and will want something more powerful and flexible. The outboard converters would be a giant step in the right direction.
