Pitch correction has been around for a while, I can't give you an exact year though. In the studio, many artists use it... most do, at least in parts. Anything pop... that's all pitch corrected. Browse through the forum for more info on Antares, but I got mine straight from the company. I probably spend more money buying direct, but I get a feeling of security.
