A lot of pro audio guys on forums who build DAW recommend the AV8 deluxe motherboard.
I'm wondering why...is it because it has AGP and a lot of PCI slots?
Are there any other reason?
I don't intend to use UAD-1 or powercore. I don't think i'll need more than 3 PCI slots. so would this motherboard still recommended? Or is there another one better for me?
Thanks!

Personally, I think you'll get more bandwidth w/ the intel stuff
Personally, I think you'll get more bandwidth w/ the intel stuff. Not knocking the AMD club, but if you were going top notch, then the intel dual-core processors & a mobo to support it would be the ones to look at. I know I did'nt quite respond to your question in general, but I've seen some amazing things (as in performance) being utilized by some of these mobo manufacturers. I'm sure both have there benefits.

Hello there!
there is no AMD club, what we have is lots of performance data running audio benchmarks that show that no Intel dual core processor can come close to an AMD 4400+ or 4800+. That may change in the future but today the AMD X2 processor is the performance KING! with much better memory bandwidth.
