I know a similar post was made earlier in one of these forums, but I am curious to see what you all think is the best combination of mics and pres for a folky/early dylan (63-65) kind of vibe for recordings. The instruments being used are Harmonica, Acoustic Guitar and Voice. It would be preferred for all 3 to be recorded simultaneously (as all are played by the artist). If it was truly a 'live' room recording, would you use a room mic, a spot mic (small capsule condensor) off 12th fret, LC condensor over shoulder and Large Capsule condensor for vocal?

Does anyone have any experience or wisdom regarding this kind of recording...I know it is probably one of the simplest setups any one ever has to record...but I am looking for good vibe and presence in the recording, as well as a raw edge.

Any Ideas?
