cheers yea I normally triple track I was meaning more any particular mics/amps you think would capture the sound?

I still am working on nailing my "awesome sounds" on guitar. But the Hughes & Kettner is the right choice IMO. I am jamming with a guitarist that uses a H&K Tri Amp.

Heavy as hell. He also is another guitarist that swears by the BBE sonic max
If you haven't used one, maybe try one out. It might be your missing piece. He loves it.
I will be getting a H&K also real soon. But I am a stickler for all tube amps :!:

The sonic maximizer is a processor. Mainly used on guitar rigs and amps. It is not that expensive, but LOTS and LOTS of guitar players love them. Try one out at a local guitar store one day. You will most likely want one after hearing it. It kind of smooths out the signal without changing it too much, and also adds some very nice qualities that an amp does not have build in.
