I'm looking at a Tascam DA 88, but what I'd want to do is get the audio onto my computer in order to sweeten it up. Don't know how to do that. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do that? I've been told that there's something that you can buy that allows it. True? Or, would I have to stick to running it through an amp and then into the computer via RCA?
Thanks,
Ben

Yeah, I saw something on the tascam site. Thanks.

My fedora is actually quite docile, rather pleasant. You see, I created this account at a time when my good ol' fedora was very angry with me. I had just cheated on it with this bowler cap... Nasty story. Please, don't make me continue.

Oh, fine. If you insist.

So, my fedora was sitting, as it usually does unless I have it with me, on my shelf for a week straight, without being worn. For three days I had been out and about, at school studying, around town in coffee shops studying, at home....studying and transcribing a Miles Davis solo... when on the third day I noticed something on the street corner. There it was, the most amazing bowler cap that I have ever seen! What a knockout! I took it home with me, careful to avoid the room where my fedora was resting. We spent 4 amazing days together. Then the next day when I came home from school with the Bowler cap on I forgot about my fedora. Well, I walked right into that room and there was a bloodcurdling scream! "I knew it!" screamed the fedora. "You bastard!!! How could you, Ben?!"

Things just haven't been the same since. My, what a grudge she can hold... It meant nothing! The hat wasn't even THAT flattering! Oh well, she'll come around soon enough. Either that, or I shall experience a loss roughly equivelant to that of Stiva Oblonsky in Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Just, not. At all.

That is the story of my angry fedora. The bowler cap is back on the street, selling itself to passing drunks and rudeboys. As good old Jack Falstaff would say, "And so ends my catechism."

By the way, I'm in paper-writing mode right now, which explains the lengthy fable. Just, a fable without a moral. Unless you consider "Don't pick up spare hats or you might offend your own" a moral. I sure as hell don't. And i do not have a fedora. I have a tattered bowler cap that I sometimes use as a prop for photo shoots, but no fedora. The name just sounded cool.

Yeah. So. The Falstaff line should go here....

....rather than there.....

But it's there, and not here.

I'll survive (though with great effort).

Hey, now there's a novel idea! How about we see what happens when we put the indignant sombrero in the same room as the angry fedora? Will it spark a passionate romance? Will it be the beginning of a wonderful friendhsip? Or, will it be a terrible mistake, resulting in the breakdown of all communication between the two parties and a painful separation?

Oh my! It's the newest reality show from FOX!!!!

Kurt Foster wrote: Good story! It reminds me of an old Disney cartoon short musical called, [[url=http://[/URL]="http://disneyshorts…"]"Johnny Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet"[/]="http://disneyshorts…"]"Johnny Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet"[/]. The Andrews Sisters sang the song ...

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(That is me laughing. And, consequently, soiling myself. Thank you for that amazing bit of information. Honestly. You rock. Quite a bit.)
