I noticed I was able to vote on this topic in two different places. The results of this poll will therefore be inaccurate. You need to start over, posting this poll again and only in one place and then stop updating (reposting) it. You may then write a new post to the same thread to bring it back to the current active topics page. That is the only way I see that it will be accurate. I would just like to see you get correct information for your disertation. Good luck, Fats

Yep, although their is not a strict rule against it, posting the same thing in more than one topic has been a big no no on web forums since the beginning of the web.
It leads to confusion and inaccuracies.

I did, just to see if I could. Anyway it leads to confusion. Post it in one place. That way those of us who are "intellegence challenged" won't mess up the results. It seems to me to be the best way to assure your results aren't skewed. :D Fats

hmmm, well i'd like to delete these polls and start again - but it appears that I can't do this :(

Bill Roberts, SOS or the mods on this forum can help with that. I would guess they will be cleared by tomorrow at the latest. While you can't delete the posts entirely you can go in and clear all the copy form the posts. Just the "shells" will be left. You can enter "please delete" and the mods will take care of that for you. I hope you’re not in a time squeeze on this. It may take a day or so for all this to happen. A lot of the mods don't camp here but rather visit from time to time.... good luck with this. BTW no hard feelings or anything like that. I think this is an interesting idea and I would simply like to see you get some accurate results. Fats

You bet they would. In fact, some people will even give you an answer other than what they really think just to taint the poll.

Thanks for the info on that Fats. No hard feelings indeed - infact I am very glad you pointed the fact that people have voted twice out to me as there is no point in me doing this poll unless I get accurate answers.

On this subject is this forum a place where I will get truthful answers?

As somebody said that people might change their answers just to taint the poll I am a little concerned.

In ANY research, of ANY kind, you have to allow for a certain ammount of inaccuracy. There is no way to ensure 100% accuracy using ANY method of polling.
