hey, I'm using Pro Tools plugins with the original plug=ins it came with. Basically, I'm wanting the words in my chorus to echo once or twice, and be on time. usually, I have to copy the track onto another track, movie it a grid later, and turn it down, so that it has the echo effect. I know there has got to be an easier way to do this. Everytime I try to use the pro tools delay plug=ins, it ends up moving my original audio and puts it way off time. What should I do?

I do agree that its pretty simple math... the thing i like about the delay calculator is that it puts all the notes (whole, quater, half, ect) right there in front of you in on swift motion.... no divideing, then divide again, and again... plug in your tempo and WHAM, youve got everything you need.

And if this is your problem, you should either set the plugin at something like 50% wet/50%dry, or use it as an effects send to mix with your original signal. If the plug is 100% wet when used as an insert, you won't hear your signal until xxx milliseconds later (whatever tempo it is set for).

I don't really get what they do, so I'm always moving different ones to try to find what I"m looking for, and I can't get it to do what I want it to. so in other words, I'm still really lost, after I get my calculation I wouldn't know what to do with it
