a) Are you monitoring the signal on an external mixer or console?
b)how is the latency settings in your daw?
c)Isn´t the track double tracked and one of its components shifted?

Ok, maybe I should have told you that I'm quite bad in informatics, so let's see each point one by one...

a) no, I have no externals mixers nor consoles.
b) here comes the newbie... I do not know what the latency is, nor what is the daw, and most important I don't know where should I look for their settings... :oops: (desculpa...)
c) once more, I'm not sure what you'e asking me (it's still my fault, of course...), but if for "double tracked" you mean that I'm recording with a stero input, the answer is no, always mono inputs through a micro plugged directly to the computer.

Please don't give up on me... (posso aprender, de verdade! :lol: )

Let me ask you this:

What happens if you start playing from the middle or towards the end of the file? Does the effect come on immediately? Or do you have to again play for a while before you hear this flanging?
My reason for asking you this is to find out if it exists in the file (therefore happened during recording) or if it is a playback phenemenon. If you get the effect as soon as you start playing from the middle/end - then its happenning during recording, otherwise it's playback. But this just does not solve your problem, i'm afraid.
So more questions: did you change cards/software, or install something new? Something must have changed, right? Or is this a new computer?

Alright, I made the experience, and I noticed that it's more or less the same independently from where I start (a few seconds ok, than it goes bad).
So if it's like this it should be a playback problem, you said, right? But I have a doubt about this, and I'll try to explain you why: I noticed that the aspect of the wave that I'm recording changes in real time while I'm playing it, more precisely it becomes thinner when the rotating effect (that I would now describe more like a very cheap phaser, more than a flanger) comes in, so it should be a recording problem, or am I wrong?...

To your question: I haven't installed new cards, but I do have installed many programs since... mostly games, but I cannot recall all of the programs precisely....
And also, I remember that the fisrt time the problem occurred, it was in the middle of a recording session (I was able to record some tracks without problems, then suddenly one came out ruined), so maybe it has not to do with having made new installations?....

Man, this story is starting to really depress me... :cry:
