I hate to tell you this... But generally you shouldn't have live speakers, when you are trying to record vocals. That is why God invented headphones. Depending on how small and ineffectual your mixture is, you could feed your tracks outputs via an effects send/sends, leaving the microphones send down. And generally, that won't work either when monitoring the multitrack playback through a stereo output. That would also include the microphone so, that won't work either. Just try a good pair of headphones, that's what God wants you to do.

i have headphones that i use and i listen to the music playback with them while i record my vocals but the problem is i can also hear my own voice in the headphones while im trying to record
,how can i stop that?

also i wanna know if tthe equipment and setup that i have is good

most people want to hear themselves in the cans but if you don't want to hear yourself mute the vocal track in the software.

To improve the quality, I would invest in a nice pop filter so you can get really close to the mic and plosives wont be an issue. Depending on the style of music you might want to try messing around with reverbs and delays. And to help with controlling with dynamics try "working" the mic a little ( move a few inches away from the mic when you get louder) and use compression.

Other than that would be to buy a better mic and mic pre.

I think this post did the job quite nicely, honestly.

What you should do is probably jump out a window. First, however, tie Stickers and RemyRAD together and hold on to them tightly. All 3 of you should land at the same time if possible. This is easier if you tie the other two side to side rather than face to face as they'll probably ask you to do.

Bonus points if you take all that gear down with you.

Yeah, I like to sing in the bathroom, too. Sounds pretty damn nice in there sometimes, although I still have a busload of pitch problems as well. Maybe I can get an Otto Toon Appliance (to go along with my hair curling device and the nose hair remover doodad) that will help me stay in Toon better. Can't beat the sound of good can though, that's for sure !
