I've never heard of it, but i'm quite an experiences drum programmer. I use Fruity Loops for all my programmed drums. I play drums but at the moment I do not have the equipment to give me the level of recording I would only be satisfied with, so I program my drums.

I've been using fruityloops for about 4 years now so it's a breeze for me, but I suggest you get into it. The most important thing in programming drums is definitely your samples and know how of drum structure, which playing drums helps me with. I've spent a long time gathering my drum samples.

Oh yes, about 4/4. We'll, say you wanted to work in 6/8, you can still turn 4/4 into 6/8 in a virtual program like that. One measure of 6/8 fits into 3 measures of 4/4.

In fruityloops, when I want to work in another time signature, I just plot out my accents and go from there, any time signature will fit into 4/4 somehow. 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8 are the only ones I really work with though.

iDrum may be Mac only...I think Fruity Loops may be Win only.

I realize you can lay a 6/8 beat into 3 bars of 4/4, etc,but to me, that's just a pain in the ass. B/c when you plug it into a song in another program (Logic or Cubase for example), it may not line up. Plus, it's more confusing to look at and edit. I'd rather have native support for various time signatures.

Maybe I'm just picky, but it seems ridiculous for any company to make a program specifically designed to program rhythms that only supprts 4/4 time signatures...just plain stupid.

iDrum looks like it could be cool, but if it only supports 4/4 (which I think I read somewhere)...forget it. Is there anything for Mac that supports multiple time signatures that lets you import your own samples????

Ideally, it'd be nice to get something that's let you change time, mid-song...but that's probably asking too much. ;-)

Hmmm, gotcha. Yeah I don't work my stuff out in other programs. I write the entire song in fruityloops. I make up guitar riffs and figure out the notes and program them for strings/piano etc etc, and then program drums and structure the whole thing that way. Then i'll dump each sound/sample to its own track and take it to my mixing software and mix it like I would a normally recorded song.
