Well Frank, what have ya got for us? What are you recording and with what? What's your recording rig like? And there is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, whatever your equipment is. Even the cheap crap is perfectly adequate for making professional recordings with. It all falls upon the operator/engineer in your mixing and audio chops.
