hi there, planning to buy my home studio monitors soon, and I've been thinking about those two. In my country I can get the M-Audio's in $430 and the KRK's in $500. so any opinions?

Thanks

if you're still considering bx5's which I wouldn't but if you are wait m-audio is trying to fix the major problems with the bx5's which inclue lack of power, no low end and tinny highs. they've upgraded the amps for more wattage, not sure what they did to the tweets and they're replacing the woofer with a kevlar one. they'll be called the bx5a's. Sweetwater.com has more info on them on their newsletter.

yes. Did read yesterday in the german KEYS magazine a review of the ESI near05 EXPERIENCE ( look like the new bx5 with kevlar woofer ).

They love the new ESI´s and find them especially in the mids better than the old m-audio BX5.

So i think if the new bx5 is identical with the new ESI it would be the better choice.

What about Wharfedale pro diamond 8.1 or 8.2 active ( also with kevlar woofer ) ???
