The thing with dynamics is they are so, so mike preamp dependant. I have quite a big collection of dynamics most of which I'd stopped using untill I got my new Audient desk which has the best on board mike pre's I've heard for a long time. I have a number of Beyer M101 (Omni) and M201(Hypercardoid) and they sound ace again now. I'm crap on numbers so - Re20, M500(ribbon), 57, Various Senheisers, D12s D112 and last but not least - a sub woofer mounted on elastic bungie cords for that special bass drum sound (better have a mike pre that will run hot though!)

AKG D1000E's ,Senn 421's, EV re-20, EV re-27, AKG D12, beyer M88's, and the audix D4's work well for me

MD 21 omni, SM7, and the usual suspects.
