Hey, I'm a newbie here and let's just assume that I'm an idiot. Well, okay, I kinda am. Here's my setup and my request from you folks:
BEHRINGER MX9000
ALESIS HD24
ALESIS 3630 COMP/LIMITER
ART ELITE FX
NO patchbays
Mostly, I have never been happy with my setup for recording effects. I would love for someone to tell me the best way to get the effects on the tracks. Just a map telling me like, "AUX 1 & 2 send to RETURNS 1 L/R, and bus assign to the tracks you want. I mean, that's how I THOUGHT I was set up, but like I said--I'm not very bright in this area. It's like I have the gear, but so what if I don't know how to use it right...right?
Any help would be appreciated deeply.

Probably not what you want to hear, but get rid of those box's man Digitalfishphones's Endorphin (Dead Link Removed)
Start off with a decent multi-fx unit, like the TC Electronic M-One is probably the nicest intro "get you there" unit to be had for 250 used.
