Hi, I'm a noob... yes i said it haha.

This is my setup at the homefront.

Brand new HP Pavilion Notebook - Adobe Audition 1.5 as the recording/editing program.

Hooked to the laptop via USB - M-Audio MobilePre USB preamp.

Hooked to the Preamp via 1/4 jack cords - Eurorack UB1202FX

Then of course i have the headphones hooked to the mixer threw the headphone jack. Along with my Marshall MXL2006 Condensor Mic threw the mic input.

Now everything is fine with recording and playback. My problem is not being able to HEAR what I'm recording in the headphones WHILE recording. (example: i have a track layed out ready for vocals to be added, in multi-track view on Adobe Audition. Now, as i record vocals WHILE listening to the "music" I CANNOT HEAR THE VOCALS threw the headphones also.)

If you have any info on this, please let me know. At first when i was recording i COULD hear the vocals threw the headphones while recording but had a loop going back to the comp. of the track i was recording over. This was due to the "CD/tape to ctrl" button not being on. Is this problem due to my program on the comp. or my mixer not being able to do this action. Thanks.
