I've heard about alot of "technical" problems with these, but I dont care about those

If you've heard of technical problems - and are planning on ignoring them, what is there that we can say that you will listen to? Is there any point in answering your questions - will you listen to what we say?

Anyways, what Im wondering is, do you think this is a quality product? If not, what else would you consider for around the same price? Or would it not even be worth getting.

Also, could someone suggest a good Mic for less then $200ish?

There's a hell of a lot of posts about this, but try reading through approx 75% of the Budget gear forum, and then going out and buying an SM58.

I have done my research, the technical problems with them that I have found have all been attributed to incompatability issues with the PC, which I am confident that I can reasolve if i've had such issues. I just wanted someone who has hands on experience with them to tell me what they think. I dont want someone saying that they heard that their brothers uncles sister had one and it kept dropping out so they eBayed it.

What I want to know is, has anyone used one hands on and what the experience is like. How do the recordings sound with it and how are the preamps on them. Not, "I hear they have problems with some Firewire cards" because I already know that and have already found out how to resolve the issue.
