I doubt it. How strange it would be for search engines to punish web designers for using correct punctuation.

If you were in change of IT for the New York Times, would you advocate changing the titlebar to "New York Time's"?

Why doesn't Manley Labs include "Manley Lab's" on its homepage?

Also, I reject the idea that whoever named these forums purposefully added the apostrophe for the purposes of search engine optimization. The other plural forum names don't include misplaced apostrophes: Pro Audio Reviews, Audio Projects, Auralex Acoustics, Manley Labs, and Job Postings.

Go to Google and type in "apples." You will find that the search retrieves pages about apples, plural (i.e., more than one apple). Now type "apple's." You'll find that the search now retrieves, for the most part, pages referring to the possessive "apple's." Of course, there is an exception for Apple computer, which comes up on the first page even if you type "apple's", but that is to be expected.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like search engines know what they're doing. If I am missing something, I hope you'll explain.

Hi, this topic is one of no sense. I may be the only person in the world that does certain web things certain ways. Either way or what is "proper", it is the way it is for now and I personally have a very specific reason for what I do. I will also change things without notice. :wink: Continuing this topic leaves holes for religion and political type topics that IMHO eventually end up with flames.
This is also "non audio related" . We are not an English school here, in this forum we do not judge others for how grammatically correct they are and we do not criticize members for punctuation and spelling as well. A lot of us here are auditorial learners so it really doesn't matter in the big picture. If you are bothered by " I am certain we will never see eye to eye.
Best way to learn more on this topic is to hang out with other designers.
