Anyone using Sonar 5 yet? I especially would like to hear from someone that has Sonar 5 with Win x64. I was looking for reviews on this but a quick google search just seems to find a bunch of sites that sell Sonar5 and the only reviews I was able to find were on Cakewalk's website!

I did a lot of research on the exact subject you're asking about. There's a good amount of info out there, and you'll find it on the forums. Search at homercording.com and Harmony-central.com and pcmech.com.
What you're going to find is that a lot of people are talking about it, but nobody wants to convert yet. At least not in the recording world. Not many manufacturers are making it any kind of priority to release 64bit drivers. A lot of people in the gaming world have done it quite sussessfully which you can read about at the pcmech forums.
My bet is that all the next versions of the recording programs will offer full-on 64 bit support and the manufacturers will have to get on the ball. But it's a little early I think to risk it. People are reporting 25% gains in performance in Sonar FWIW. If you decide to do it, I would consider a dual-boot OS to be on the safe side.

yeah, there is a 64bit driver for my M-Audio soundcard, but not for my Layla24 which is what I use for recording mainly. I have sent them an email asking when they might be releasing one, but have not received a response yet.
And I seriously hope that these companies get on the ball with this. It won't be long until Windows Vista is released and I'm sure Gates isn't going to like it if no one can use it! 64bit cpu's have been out for over 2 years already and Win x64 has been out for awhile too. The beta testers for Win Vista are probably having one hell of a time without drivers!
