Hi All. I'm looking for the best all around sound card for recording on a PC. No more than 2 tracks at a time necessary. And more than likely, we will not be using any midi stuff.
Any recommendations? I know the Audigy platinum pro is reasonably priced, but is it any good? Thanks much!

Can I get a take on this? What does the part about wdm drivers in windows really amount to? I am less than knowledged to my satisfaction regarding the driver thing ...wdm, asio and what each might mean for various systems or if their utility in certain setups might be better or worse than in some , and which was which , etc, or anything regarding this about wdm... are they useful over asio in some situations I take it?, or what might this mean?
thankyou

ASIO drivers are generally used for VST host applications like Steinberg Nuendo & Cubase SX and Emagic Logic. WDM is more applicable to Cakewalk Sonar. I have had very little to do with Sonar, but if I remember right you can use ASIO for this too.
