I just installed XP...everything is great so far. However, under the Device Manager and under Sound,video... there is one of the Yellow Exclamation symbols on a "unknown Device" there are no drivers for it...is that normal? I thought if there was NO device it would not even show up? Or is it just saying there is space for something else?

There was an article in our local paper this morning (what are the odds???) that was *very* clear that you should install XP as a new install *only*...upgrading from W2K or 98SE/ME is just plain "problematic"...besides the rabbit droppings that llornkcor left behind. ;)

Welll...what devices do you have? list them and then tell me if it is a ghost device or not...try uninstalling it and see what happens. You left a big hole for me to help you with...it also could be that that device in question needs better support for WinXP.
