After installing XP Professional on his PC, a friend hasn`t been able to get any sound out of his audiocard. A error code 10 comes up, seems like XP won`t accept the driver. Has tried to download and install newest driver from midiman without any sucess.

Anyone experienced this?

did the driver install correctly?
Pardon me if you knew this or if it doesn't apply to the latest drivers:
My experience in the past with midiman drivers is that after you download them you have to extract the driver to a floppy as an installation disk. If he had trouble loading the driver this may be the reason. He will need to run the program off of the download which will extract the driver to the floppy for installation.
this might not apply to the xp drivers, but if he is having trouble maybe this will help...

Well, I'll second what Brock stated and also ask the question of any IRQ sharing? Fresh install of XP or an update to XP? If an update scratch that..always load in a new OS clean and never update...
let us know as much information...ACPI or Standard PC mode..what motherboard and any onboard peripherals? I have a feeling it's something quirky with the MidiMan as quite afew Nuendo users were having problems with them as well under XP..Win2k works fine for them but not XP...go figure huh?!!!!
