Well, I have tubetechs multiband compressor in the mastering.
It's not my first tool to work with but if I use it, I always realize how good this tool is.
If the other stuff from tubetech is like this
I think it is interesting.
Do they still not have a stereo unit?
On the aes in amsterdam I asked them about this stereo thing and they were thinking about it.
I didn't promise that I would buy it immediately but I think with the quality they put in their stuff I guess there is always a market for that.
b.t.w. Brad, tomorrow I can check for a whole week bob katz his surround unit incl. his K.....(well you know what I mean :D )
Did you hear some things about it?
The tubetech is a colourfull tool.
That's why I've said that my tubetech Multiband is not my first tool to use.
If you are looking for more neutral eq's you can think of millennia and I'm sure Brad also has some nice neutral tools in his rack.
b.t.w. Brad, we are using at this moment the bob katz surround system with his Ksecret.
First impression:
We are doing some compilations with old pop songs like blondie, the knack etc.
It sounds more naturall, open.
The highs sounds more sweet.
What I can hear the most is that on cheaper speakers the sometimes not so relaxt pump in the mix is changing to a more relaxt.
Tomorrow we burn a cd and we will listen to it at other monitors.
Minor thing: I'm afraid that me and my other mastering-engineers will ask me
The dealer told me that this thing is at this moment the only one there is in europe.
Brad,
I have a Millennia NSEQ-2 I am checking out courtesy of my buds at Wind Over the Earth. I think I'm gonna get it cause I'm pretty impressed. The top three bands are the bees knees. The low band is good, but not quite as tight as a Sontec or Avalon 2077. The tube/ss at the flick of a switch is very cool. Subtle, but sometimes does just the thing you are looking for. Rock on.

What's with the deleted posts, Brad. You get hired by PSW and part of their deal was to come back here to delete your priceless post on RO. So lame and disrespectful to all the members.

And yes, they are mono units. By the way, the M at the end of the model denotes switches. Make any difference to your opinion?

Yes, on reflection the coloring issue would be a problem, and not the way to go.
