Hi ..
I just purchased a RME multiface ..
great sounding box but the company must be run by telepathic borgs because the documentation on everything is awful ..
anyhow . I can't seem to find where i can make adjustments to the settings of the Multiface. i have installed the drivers and launched the DSP settings control panel but it only speaks of sync options . nothing to buffer settings ..
I'm on OSX .. anyone that could help ?
thanks

If there is an RME "company forum", you might better check there for answers..?
Lynx has one and it's run by the people who design and build the Lynx stuff(Damned handy!), though their printed documentation(At least for my years old LynxOne), is nothing to write home about either - one is really expected to use the forum or email direct or phone calls direct - things change too much, too fast for printed media - such is the way of the world today...

You'll find some of the settings from your system disk -> drivers -> multiface -> hdsp -> Hammerfall DSP settings.
I/O buffersize settings aren't there.
If you're using Logic, you can set the buffersize here: Audio menu -> Audio Hardware & Drivers -> I/O buffer size
Hope this helps!

There is a buffer section in the sync control panel IIRC (the "Hammer" icon in the system tray). You can select 1ms, 3ms, 6ms, etc, etc in the upper left corner. When tracking I use the Multiface's HDSP mixer as my realtime matrix feed to an analog mixer, and I set the latency to 6ms for "peace of mind".
EDIT - OOPS - I didn't see you are on OS-X w/ Core audio. Sorry - probably lots easier on a PC with the RME control panel (one stop shop  ). I have no clue on Mac.
