anyone having problems with windows 7 and pro tools ? I'm finding i cant work for more than 6 or so minutes before it gets to a point where i cant record or playback even the simpilist of tracks,,, i assume this is due to pro tools ot been up to date with windows 7 just yet,,,e.mailed Avid support n they said they dont have a fully compatible version of pro tools with windows 7,,, anyone know when next update will be OR a way around it to make it work again properly?

8.01? That's the latest stable update. I find I still have to fudge the playback engine. Just change the CPU settings to use only 1 core, apply, then set it back to use all 4 cores. After that it seems to be ok. PT8 has been a headache for sure. So many nice features to it though.

maybe reinstall programmes or something, 8.o.1 still isnt a windows 7 update as avid told me,,,,,,any rumors on pt9 in the making??
hopefully i get pro tools back on track again, think ill ust have to delete it and re install from last working version of pt8

yup purely recording laptop,,,after this month though, currently doing 3ds max digital project at the moment so need to keep that info steady for now, but will rebooth it then if i dont get issue resolved
