Hey, I'm thinking of picking up a DAW controller to make mixing a little easier. Using sliders and knobs is way better then a mouse imo.
I like the Alesis Master Control. Talkback mic is a plus, motorized faders a must, assignable buttons with A/B assignments. It makes the unit pretty user friendly. I know it has bank and track switchers so you can control an unlimited amount of tracks, but I really would like something that you can add additional channel strips to like the Mackie Logic Control has the XT extension that adds 8 more track capabilities.
Does anyone have experience with any of these and suggest any in particular? I like the price of the Alesis more, and the fact that it has a talkback feature. It would be perfect if it had extensions, but I don't believe it does. I might just have to settle for banking up and down. Which really isn't all too bad.
Any input would be appreciated. By the way, I love this board so far, TONS of help in past topics and responses. Thanks again!
I'm interested as well. I'm pretty sure most of us haven't taken
I'm interested as well. I'm pretty sure most of us haven't taken the leap yet. For me, controllers are finally starting to look like they are getting better. I'm looking forward to the day they start working like vintage mixing boards ( sort of speak), The mouse just doesn't seem musical, to slow and mono acting.
Looking forward to seeing more on controllers. Mackie is what I'm watching.
