Hello experts,
I want to buy a desk with DAW control (for Cubase) and more than 8 preamps. So far, I've only found the Focusrite 2802 (too few channels) and the SSL matrix (too expensive).
Any other recommendations on the $4000 price range? (yes I'd get a Duality, but first a house maybe XD)
Which would you be looking at?
I'm just curious... I've given some thought lately to having an actual surface from which I could work in a more tactile fashion, as opposed to "mousing" every command, particularly when it comes to the mixing end of things.
I'm woefully out of touch with what's out there these days when it comes to control surfaces.
Hi all,
I have a choice between a new Mackie Control Universal Pro* at EUR 1,200 or a used Mackie Universal Controller eMagic** for EUR 400. Naturally, the used one seems more attractive but can anyone advise if it will integrate as well with Sonar 8.5 as the newer model will?
Many thanks for advice!
I have a feeling the next big buzz is going to be new DAW controllers. I am so sick of a mouse so I'm looking forward to whats ahead.
Hello everyone!
Some two years ago I searched for an affordable 24 faders controller for my studio rig. I simply found none. There was solutions that were OK, but nothing for the "middle-class" professional. So I decided to create my own using a Mackie D8B.
Hi, Im seriously thinking of buying a tablet & running Cubase 5 with windows XP.
Im using a Phonic firewire mixer as an audio interface.
I want to use XP so my old plugins will work & also my mixer only has XP drivers.
Does anyone have any experiences with running a DAW on a Tablet computer and what are some issues I should look out for?
Hey, I'm thinking of picking up a DAW controller to make mixing a little easier. Using sliders and knobs is way better then a mouse imo.
Looking for some experienced comments.
I would like to know anyone's likes/dislikes using control surfaces with Cubase as well as control of VST Plugins for a PC platform...
Any preference you have on Firewire or USB protocols.
Some of the units out there I've looked into.
