Would i be able to use this as some sort of interface to plug my mics into and then to my computer? And what is the deal with audio interfaces how do they work? What equipment would i need? If anyone could help me out that would be awesome. I have a macbook with logic 9 on it for recording but, never have recorded my drums before.
Sorry, some of your post did not move...
Yes, you can interface it (plug it into) a converter, preferably one with at least 8 line inputs that will convert the analog signal to digital.
I primarily work with PC's, but I'm sure you can find a Mac unit that will do the trick.
On Mackies you should be able to send a direct signal off of each channel into a unit that accepts line level signal by plugging the insert (1/4" Connector) half way in.
Where you go from there is dependant on the converter that you have and the software you are using in the Mac.
i believe it has both. i'm not to familiar with the board
