Beta 57 vs. . SM57

Does anyone out there use the Beta 57 for guitar cab micing, or anything for that matter?

I own a Beta 58, and I can really hear a HUGE difference between that and a SM58. I was wondering if I would hear that kind of difference in the quality of the 57s. Can the Beta can be used for the same applications with better results?

Well, they're a favorite in the live audio world for snare because of a higher SPL handling than the SM, so I would think they'd work fine on a guitar cab.
