I just picked up a Matchless Clubman Reverb w/matching 2x12 and an '06 CS-336. The Matchless sounds amazing, such rich harmonic blooms and so musical at every volume. The 336 matches is quite nicely too. I think the amp will record very well; I can't wait to give it a go and lay down some tracks.
Just thought I'd share, thanks for reading.

I don't think that the 336 has an asymmetrical neck, nor did it really fell that it did. Actually, I just took it back this afternoon. I was really more interested in the amp, but the store owner was trying to work a package deal for me to get the guitar AND the amp. Part of the shenanigans involves me selling/consigning a few other amps. I simply have too much stuff in my small room and wanted to get down to the essentials.
That said, I've consigned away THD 2x12, an Orange Rockerverb 50 head and 'possibly' my Guytron head.
I took the guitar back because if these items don't sell within 30 days, I'll be more in the red WITH this guitar than without...and quite frankly, I have enough guitars too.
And oh, my Heritage 535 (basically a 335) for less than half the price is a nicer instrument to me than the 336.
So far the Matchless has been pure magic though. I'll try to get some recordings up soon. Bob, I have an old Anderson Tele that kills....I'll give it a whirl.

Thats a very very good rig. I love the tone of the the 336's. And Matchless is a top five fave here. Right up there with the Dr.Z, Bogner, Carr, and Conrad.
