(the thread that is)

Our church posts sermons online, and recently I've been pondering the codec I use. Currently it's 44.1KHz MP3, at 48Kbps CBR. Sermons work out at about 6MB per week (15 minutes or so in length).

In the past I've tried using 32K sample rate instead of 44.1 and had a small number of issues with the sermon playing back fast, I'm sure you can imagine. Maybe makes it more interesting to listen to?

Past few days I've been trying VBR, between 24 and 48Kbps, though I'll change those over time, I suspect.

Rather than simply upload them and hope for the best, I'd like to bucket test to see if the files will play back on a variety of PCs.
I cut 3 minutes out of today's sermon; here are 3 MP3s, each about 1MB in size.

If anyone has the time to listen to even 10 seconds of these, and see if they play, it'd be much appreciated. If it plays, or won't play, or plays back fast, please let me know.
(You can name your audio codec/hardware/OS if you really want, but I'm sure there's plenty of you audio guys using XP with generic onboard audio).

Info:
These were done with RazorLame, a GUI around the lame library. The resampled version has the same settings as the VBR file, but the encoder converted it to 24KHz.
Once on the church site, they're available through a podcast (iTunes etc.) or you can listen online, through the JWPlayer. As far as I'm aware, the player doesn't make a difference - it's the codec on the user's PC?

Thanks folks.
